What to visit in Milan? We can help you!

Milan is not only the city of fashion, design and finance, but it is also full of points of interest, history, arts and culture.
The Best Western Plus Hotel Le Favaglie Cornaredo offers you some tips for organizing your trip!

The Duomo of Milan, symbol of the city, it’s one of the necessary step during your vacation. The impressive Gothic cathedral at the center of Milan is decorated with big glass windows and beautiful sculptures. Don’t miss the chance to get in the Terrazze del Duomo, from where you can admire a breath-taking panorama of the city. Near the cathedral, there is the entrance of the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the so-called salotto di Milano, where there are restaurants, fashion coffees, and many shops of the most famous brands. In Piazza Duomo you can also visit the famed Palazzo Reale, location of exhibitions and cultural events.

Another required stop of the tour of the city is the Teatro alla Scala, the main opera house of Milan, known in the whole Country. It was inaugurated in 1778 and with its 2030 sets it is one of the most recognized Milanese institution.

Our hotel is located around 20 minutes far from the city center (by underground – line red MM1)

The Castello Sforzesco is one of the most evocative place of Milan. It was built in 1368 as a military fortress under Visconti’s will. Under Sforza’s family, it was converted into one of the most beautiful Renaissance residence of the whole Europe.

The Navigli area, that until the XIX century was the harbor of the city thanks to a series of artificial canals which connect the Maggiore and Como lakes with the Ticino, is now the center of the Milan's nightlife. Bars, restaurants, boutiques crowd the side of the canals where people meet for dinner or aperitif.
